Kiran Virani

Kiran Virani attended California State University where she obtained her Honors Bachelor’s Degree in psychology minor in sociology. Kiran went on to complete her first master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy from Argosy University, California. After completing her internship in individual counseling and group counseling at Silver Lake Medical Center, in Rosemead, California she knew enjoyed the clinical aspect of psychology and specialized in treating Schizophrenics, Attention Deficit Disorder (AD/HD), Depression, Anxiety, Mood/Bipolar Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse and several Personality Disorders.

After completing her education and internship, Kiran began working at Granbury Juvenile Detention Center and for Dallas County. Kiran specialized in additional skills to include individual counseling for juveniles, group therapy for juveniles ages 13-17 and family therapy. Kiran also obtained education, training and licensure/certification to specialize in: assessing patients to complete psychological evaluations, and psychological testing (WRAT, PAI, KBIT, MMPI, PAI).

Kiran continued to move forward in education and received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Kiran Virani is a certified juvenile probation officer (JPO); Licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) with international accreditation; Marriage family therapist (MFT); Certified dream interpreter; Qualified credentialed counselor (QCC); Anger Management Specialist (CAMS-II); prepare enrich pre-marital counselor; and a licensed professional counselor intern (LPC-I)

Although her career is her passion, hobby, and interest; making time for her family is also a priority. Not to mention spending time with her pom-terrier Rusty. For fun, Kiran also writes about addiction, mental illness, and spirituality.
