Cumberland Mobile Care Unit
The Cumberland Mobile Care Unit is a state-funded outreach program designed to bring addiction treatment, mental health support, and basic healthcare directly to rural communities in the Upper Cumberland. Operated by Pathway Healthcare, the unit helps break down barriers like transportation and access by showing up where care is needed most.
The mobile unit travels to towns across Clay, Jackson, Macon, Smith, and Trousdale counties. Services are offered by a compassionate team of medical and behavioral health professionals. We partner with local organizations to park in trusted, convenient spots like churches, community centers, and health departments.
Each stop offers on-the-spot services and connection to follow-up care when needed — no long drives or waitlists required.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (including Suboxone)
Mental health support including assessments and counseling
Basic primary care for common medical concerns
Referrals and case management to connect patients with long-term support
Low or no-cost care for those without insurance
