About the Position: Pathway Healthcare is seeking licensed counselors to join our team. We offer both in-office and remote opportunities in multiple states. Our ideal candidates are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and addiction counseling services.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuing education activities.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid counseling license in one of the following states: Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas.

Qualified individuals will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of proven experience in medical office management or a similar administrative role
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and medical terminology

  • Proficiency in office management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficient workflow, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage staff schedules, approve PTO/timecards, and maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure availability and functionality
  • Coordinate and lead staff meetings to foster collaboration and communication
  • Provide leadership and guidance to office staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising office personnel, and conduct performance evaluations
  • Address patient concerns and inquiries promptly, striving for exceptional patient care and satisfaction
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient flow and satisfaction
  • Monitor office expenses to ensure cost-effective operations and maximize revenue generation
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, OSHA, JCHAO, DMH, and OBOT

$50,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience

  • Handle medical record requests according to HIPAA and CFR 42 guidelines
  • Follow up with patients who missed appointments
  • Assist with patient flow and communicate with nurses and providers
  • Collect and process patient co-pays and outstanding balances

  • Complete reports and reconcile daily cash transactions

  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding for a smooth transition for new employees
  • Serve as a resource for employees, addressing concerns and offering guidance on policies and procedures
  • Support conflict resolution and workplace investigations, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries
  • Administer leave policies, including FMLA, disability, and personal leave
  • Assist managers with the performance review process, offering tools and guidance for constructive feedback
